From the Heart of a Grateful Nation is a Post 9*11 picture. For the drawing I asked family members to pose their hands with a flag that would represent the flag from the casket of a deceased veteran. While drawing, all I could think about were the tremblinhg, pale hands of a young wife reaching to receive the proud but mournful flag. I could hear her say “ I don’t want this flag. I want my husband back.”Some folks lightly quip “If life hands you lemons, make lemonade.” You know, it just isn’t that easy. But, as believers in Christ, we do have hope. Hope doesn’t make life easy, it makes life possible. Someone handed you a flag lately? Here’s hope that you, with the help of friends,can make it into a banner of faith.

But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner to be unfurled agianst the bow. Psalm 60:4
